Every now and then, I come across something that I know I want to share. This post, from a dear lady in our church, is one of those. She has a perspective that we all need, one of faith, hope, and trust! I pray it will encourage you through this interesting time. Thank you, Shirley Corbett, you are truly a gem!

Several friends have asked me this week, “What do you think about this virus, the stock market down side, all this craziness in the world?”
What do I think? I think of the Lover of my soul and I think He is Wonderful…full of wonder and well able to meet the needs of all who call out to Him…I rest in His unchanging Love and bask in His words and promises…I glory in the knowledge that not one thing is hidden from Him and that He has a plan…
Do I understand what is happening all around us? Am I privy to every step of His plan? Absolutely not…and I don’t need to. In 84 years He has never failed me, for 84 years He has provided for me, He has never left me to fend for myself…we have a history together and He has invested too much in me to stop now…
He is giving me an opportunity to practice all He has built into my life…patience, long suffering, kindness, etc…showing me where my weaknesses are and teaching me how to overcome them…School is out all over the world, but not in me…It’s an opportunity to put everything else aside and listen and learn…
He is giving me a choice to embrace or endure…to trust Him in new ways in new circumstances….
I am convinced that He will bring me through every bit of life’s turmoil and embrace me forever at the end …
This is what I think…this is what I believe…this is what I know…
Perfect!
