As some of you may have noticed, I accidentally posted my blog on Wednesday instead of today. I did my version of the “f-word”, yet again, and forgot to click the ‘Calendar button’ first and then the ‘Schedule button’. I also didn’t listen to my Fairy Blog Mothers.

I have been blessed with two Fairy Blog Mothers. Bonnie, who has a brain like mine, for the the funny side and Debi, who has a smarter brain than mine, for the technical side. Both have taught me two important blogging rules:

1. Be consistent! Always post your blog on the same day so people get used to you being there.
2. Type your blog first as a Word document, then copy and paste to your blog. This will prevent you from posting accidentally.

I understand rule number one, but rule number two seemed like extra work. Obviously, I was wrong. After I realized my mistake, I tried to quickly pull it back. I deleted it from Facebook and edited my blog site so it would post on its designated day, Friday. I thought I’d covered myself and I was feeling pretty good about it until I got a text from Debi, my “Technical” Fairy Blog Mother.

“Did you accidentally post today?”

Rats. How did she know?  I admitted to my mistake, but told her I fixed it. She told me it was too late. Evidently, it was already out there for the world to see, like an old man wearing a Speedo on the beach.

And so, I offer this beautiful flower as an apology to my Fairy Blog Mothers. I promise to listen and if I’m too lazy to listen, I promise to remember to click the “Calendar button” first. Because I may think things are not that big a deal, but sometimes they can be and Fairy Blog Mothers always know best!
